Banten governor Ratu Atut Chosiyah said Friday the construction project of the much awaited Sunda Strait Bridge (JSS) connecting Java and Sumatra will start late in 2013 at the earliest.
“We expect the groundbreaking ceremony to take place either in December 20013 or January 2014,” the governor said.
She said the construction project of the 29 kilometer-long bridge was estimated to cost between US$10 billion and $15 billion.
The Banten and Lampung administrations have submitted the results of a joint feasibility study on the project.
