England striker Wayne Rooney is to travel to Switzerland as planned for the team's European Championship qualifier despite reports about his private life being splashed across British tabloids.
The Football Association says that Rooney trained as normal on Sunday morning and would be flying out with the rest of the squad on Monday before Tuesday night's match.
The FA insisted that it is "business as usual."
And midfielder James Milner told reporters that "you want the best players out on the field and he's obviously one of them."
The Sunday Mirror and News of the World newspapers both printed allegations about Rooney's private life on their front pages on Sunday.
