Bekasi Municipality General Hospital was on Monday afternoon engulfed by a fire reportedly caused by faulty electrics.
Panicked patients being treated on the second, third and fourth floors were evacuated by hospital staff.
The fire started in the Melati room on the second floor of the hospital's new building, hospital spokesman Agus S said Monday as quoted by tempointeraktif.com.
“The blaze took hold quickly,” he said, adding that the incident took place at around 2 p.m.
