Four dead in exodus in Sukoharjo

High exodus traffic in Sukoharjo of Central Java as Idul Fitri approaches claimed four lives in a crash Monday.

Witness Sri Sumarsih said the accident involved a bus, a Mitsubishi Carry minivan and two motorcycles.

“The bus took its opposites track and hit our car,” said Sri who was among passengers on the minivan.

The crash claimed the lives of Busar, 40, Sunarmi, 35, and Wulan, 12, who were also on the minivan, and motorcyclist Edy, 18, kompas.com reported.

Sukoharjo Police traffic unit chief Adj. Comr. Yohanes Iwan said that his personnel are

investigating the incident. “All victims have been admitted to nearest hospital for further treatment,” he added.
