As many as 183 participants across the country have registered in a digital startup contest known as Sparxup Awards (www.sparxup.com) 2010, the organizer says.
Sparxup Awards committee chairman Herman Kwok said the organizer had set the registration deadline on Oct. 15 and targeted to get 300 registrees.
"So far, it looks good," Herman said on Monday.
He said most of the registered participants were based in Greater Jakarta with some coming from Bandung and Yogyakarta.
Awards and prizes will be given to 24 winners in best social networking site, best portal, best user generated content, best use of technology, best e-commerce, best mobile, best WAP, and best
games.
The best rising star 2010 will receive a number of prizes including Rp 150 million (US$ 17,000) in
cash, while the most promising start up 2010 will be given, among others, Rp 50 million in cash.
