The national weather agency says Jakarta will have rainy weather until the end of the week, as there are winds and rain clouds forming in the Java Sea due to low pressure in the Indian Ocean.
Asrofi, an official at the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) told tempointeraktif.com Tuesday that rainy weather would also hit the West Sumatra coast, parts of Kalimantan, West Java, Banten, Central Java, northern East Java, East Nusa Tenggara, parts of Central Sulawesi, Central Maluku and Papua.
The agency had previously warned of heavy rains, strong winds and high waves during the transition period between the dry to the rainy season in August and September.
