The government says national supplies of fuels, LPG and electricity are adequate for the next three weeks, despite an increase in fuel demand resulting from the Idul Fitri exodus.
Data from the monitoring post at the Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry as of Wednesday revealed that premium gasoline stocks stood at 1.09 million kiloliters to meet demand for the coming 16 days, diesel fuel stock stood at 1.4 million kiloliters for nearly three weeks and liquid gas stock reached 255,172 metric tons that would suffice consumers’ need for almost one month.
Stocks of high-octane gasoline will be secure for between 36 and 53 days, while aircraft fuel stocks were enough to last more than 19 days.
The ministry will continue monitoring national fuel and gas stocks until 10 days after Idul Fitri, which is expected to fall on Friday.
