20 killed in road accidents on Idul Fitri eve

The National Police have reported that at least 20 were killed in road accidents across the archipelago on Idul Fitri eve last night.
“Most of the accidents occurred in East, Central and West Java,” National Police spokesman Brig. Gen. Iskandar Hasan told Antara news agency in Friday.
The police also recorded that at least 164 had been killed in traffic accidents on highways used by holiday revelers returning to their home towns throughout the country.
Last year 702 people were killed in road accidents during the holiday period.
