Former minister of justice and human rights Yusril Ihza Mahendra, a suspect in alleged corruption involving a government website, fulfilled the request of the Attorney General's Office to report for questioning Wednesday.
"I answered questions related to Haryono, such as how and where I came to know him. But I refused to answer questions linked to substantial matters like the contract between the ministry and PT RSD, " he said after questioning.
The AGO was scheduled to question both Yusril and businessman Hartono Tanoesoedibjo, another suspect in the case, on Wednesday.
However, Hartono, the owner of PT Sarana Rekatama Dinamika, which operated the online service at the ministry, did not comply with the summons.
Hartono's lawyer, Andi F. Simangunsong, said that last week his team had sent the AGO a letter, conveying his client's promise to undergo questioning on Sept. 20. (lnd)
