JAKARTA: State-owned train operator PT KAI will increase the price of Jabotabek commuter train fares on Oct. 1 to cope with increasing operation costs.
The company will apply an increase of between Rp 500 (5.5 US cents) and Rp 1,500 for economy class tickets.
The company had not increased the tariffs since 2002, PT KAI corporate secretary for Greater Jakarta services Makmur Sya-heran told tempointeraktif.com on Friday. — JP
