Two mount climbers that have gone missing for the last few days while descending Mt. Gede Pangrango were found alive on Saturday afternoon.

“Both are healthy. They have only small wounds on their swollen legs. They can talk, but are very tired,” head of the Mt. Gede Parangro National Park, Sumarto, told kompas.com.

Sumarto said that the climbers were lost but were able to make it to Bojong Murni village, where they were rescued.

A joint team of about 100 people had been searching for Ali Budi and Rendi, members of the University of Indonesia (UI) mount climbing club.

The two mount climbers began their trip on Sunday and sent a text message to the UI mount climbing club secretariat on Thursday, saying they went astray. Ali said in his message that Rendi was exhausted and asked the other club members to pick them up.
