Hundreds of houses flooded in East Java

A thigh-high floodwater inundated on Sunday hundreds of houses in Kauman district, Tulungagung regency, East Java after a river overflowed its banks.
There were no reports of casualties.
"The flood occurred when we were asleep. We could not save our belongings," Sunarti, a local resident, said as quoted by kompas.com.
The flood also destroyed farming land, inflicting a loss of more than Rp 100 million (US$11,000).
