Letter: When do Muslims return to Islam?

I refer to “Many faiths, but one humanity,” (The Jakarta Post, Moh. Yasir Alimi, Sept. 16.)

Yes! You feel the pain. Humanity bleeds. Respect for all human beings. Islam is the religion of peace. Islam does not promote violence, but religious tolerance.

We have heard it all before. Most Muslims in Indonesia are good, honest, loving, kind people. I have no-doubt that you are absolutely sincere.

But, when are Muslims going to stop persecuting minorities in Indonesia? When are Muslims going to stop committing acts of violence in Indonesia?

When are the wealthy elite, the politicians, the police, the administrations in Indonesia, Muslims all, going to stop stealing from the poor, the needy, the sick, the weak and the starving in Indonesia? When is the sickeningly pious all powerful Muslim elite going to stop committing horrendous crimes against humanity in Indonesia?

When will justice that is currently corrupted by Muslims in Indonesia be restored to all people?
When are the Muslims in Indonesia going to regain a conscience and some basic humanity? When are Indonesian Muslims going to return to Islam?
