Govt allocates Rp 18b for Asian Games team

The government has budgeted Rp 18 billion (US$2 million) to fund the national team's success at the 16th Asian Games in Guangzhou, China, in November, says the secretary of the Youth Affairs and Sports Ministry.
“The government will add the figure as long as needed, depending on the number of athletes joining the multi event sports competition,” ministry secretary Wafid Muharam said Tuesday as quoted by kompas.com.
The ministry had not yet received the figure of athletes taking part in the event, he added.
The Guangzhou Asian Games will be held from Nov. 12 to 27.
