Our civil engineering companies in Jakarta need to coordinate with our soil and marine engineering companies in doing civil construction in Jakarta; especially in areas near the harbor or anywhere around the former Batavia Bay.
We might have to go back to the Dutch deep and wide canals for heavy cargo transport in certain parts of the city (cargo ferry barges) though risking salinization of our deep groundwater supply.

Why am I no longer surprised when a 100-meter structure collapses in Jakarta? What can we do Pak SBY? How can we help? Complaining only goes so far.
