Police hunt armed group in North Sumatra
Hundreds of Police Mobile Brigade personnel are hunting for an armed group of 12 people in Serdang Berdagai and Tebing Tinggi district on Friday following a gunfight earlier in the day.
News portal kompas.com reported that a company of North Sumatra Police Mobile Brigade with help from two platoons form Pematang Siantar and Tanjung were combing border and plantation areas in Serdang Berdagai and Tebing Tinggi.
The armed men were reportedly riding four motorcycles carrying rifles. They clashed with the police in Dolok Masihul district before scrambling to plantation.
Two of them were reportedly injured during the gunfight.
