Legislators to travel abroad again

A- A A+

Some legislators from the House of Representatives Commission VIII on religious affairs plan to visit the United States for a field trip studies.

The trip agenda is to gather studies on corporate social responsibility, child protection and pluralism practices in the United States.

"We are going to the US on Oct. 9 in a group of 13 legislators," one of the commission deputy chairmen, Radityo Gambiro from the Democratic Party told reporters in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Legislators' trip abroad have been under heavy criticism in recent times due to the lack of concrete results from their studies.

The recent trip to London, England, conducted by some of the legislators from the House Commission III on Law also received criticism because most of their agenda were filled with "free time" rather than actual work.
