Man's body found in East Java

The body of a man who had been living on his own was found in his house in Gresik, East Java, on Thursday morning. Police have yet to determine the cause of death.

The man, identified as Umar, was found dead by a group of people consisting of neighbors, relatives and the local neighborhood unit chief, who broke into his house to check up on him.

Latif, one of the neighbors, told Kompas.com that he had grown concerned at Umar's unusual reclusiveness, adding that Umar usually visited him two or three times a week.

The victim was known to have lived alone after getting divorced three years ago.
