Sutiyoso criticizes Jakarta governor

Former Jakarta governor Sutiyoso has criticized Jakarta Governor Fauzi Bowo for failing to deliver his promises during the first three years of his leadership.

"He needs to work hard to improve his quality in the upcoming two years because in the past three years he had done nothing," Sutiyoso said as quoted by kompas.com.

Sutiyoso said Fauzi Bowo had a lot of ideas and plans but they could not be realized.

"He should focus on resolving traffic jam such as providing more buses in the special lanes [busway]," he said. "He must be able to deliver his main promises."

Regarding the city flood, Sutiyoso said that Fauzi Bowo would only be able overcome the problem should the megapolitan area concept involving Jakarta, Bogor, Cianjur, Bekasi, Depok, and Bekasi be implemented.
