Police are questioning six witnesses over a fire that destroyed scores of train coaches in the Rangkasbitung Train Station in Lebak, Banten.
“All the witnesses are employees of state-owned train operator PT KAI,” National Police spokesman I Ketut Untung Yoga Ana said Tuesday, as quoted by Antara news agency.
Fire razed 24 parked train coaches on early Monday morning, leaving 18 severely damaged.
The police were still investigating whether the fire was set intentionally, Ana said.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono ordered the National Police to help the authorities in Banten investigate the fire.
