Suspect in Ampera clashes arrested in Ende

KUPANG: Local police authorities apprehended a suspect, identified as Sonny Keraf, who was believed to be involved in an ethnic gang brawl that killed three people outside the South Jakarta District Court on Jl. Ampera Raya two weeks ago.

Sonny reportedly eluded the initial police manhunt, but had been located in Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, seeking refuge in a relative’s home.

“He has been transported to Jakarta for questioning,” Ende police office deputy chief Mulyanto said. — JP
