PP secures PLN project worth Rp 900b

JAKARTA: State construction firm PT Pembangunan Perumahan (PP)has secured a contract worth Rp 900 billion (US$100.8 million) to construct a gas-fired power plant (PLTG) for state electricity firm PT PLN.
“The project is located in Jambi and uses the Build-Operate-Transfer [BOT] scheme for seven years,” PP president director Musyanif said in Jakarta on Tuesday.
The company plans to construct the plant by the end of this year.
Pembangunan Perumahan, a public listed company, is aiming to secure Rp 16.2 trillion in contracts this year including some Rp 3.6 trillion of contracts carried over from 2009.
These contracts include a power plant project in Cilegon, Banten, worth Rp 3.6 trillion and two projects in Saudi Arabia worth Rp 500 billion.
Last year PP secured Rp 6.1 trillion of contracts. — JP
