Students takes policeman hostage after clash in Makassar

Students protesting against the government took a man hostage in Makassar on Monday after a clash with local police.

The man was reportedly a policeman, kompas.com reported.

Some students wanted to hit the man, but others tried to bring him to a safer location.

The students also demanded the release of their friend, who was detained by the police.
