Soekarno-Hatta airport to lease generators over power crisis

The Soekarno-Hatta airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II has decided to rent eight power generators to solve its electricity crisis.

The eight generators will be able to supply 16,000 kilovolt-amperes (kVA) for the airport.

“We are in a strong need for backup power,” the company corporate secretary Hari Cahyono told tempointeraktif.com on Tuesday morning.

Hari said that the leasing would be conducted in two phases. The first phase, comprising three units of power generators, was still being tendered, he added.
