RI press freedom ranks second in Southeast Asia, 117th worldwide

Indonesia was ranked second in Southeast Asia press freedom,
but 117th in the world, the Reporters Without Borders has reported.
The report said two journalists in Indonesia were killed and
several others still received death threats, mainly for their reports on the
environment.
East Timor was the press freedom champion in the region
after securing the 93rd position in the world press freedom index this year.
Singapore was 136th, Malaysia 141st, and Thailand 153rd.
The Philippines was far below at 156th place.
