JAYAPURA: More than 100 senior high school students across Papua are taking part in a science contest, which runs from Oct. 18-22.

The contest, jointly organized by the Papua provincial administration and several organizations including the Cendrawasih University, PT Freeport Indonesia and the Papua Knowledge Center, highlights two areas: science and English.

“Papua can only be built with quality human resources who are willing to work hard and demonstrate discipline and a strong work ethic,” Papua Governor Barnabas Suebu said when opening the contest.

“Papua is blessed with rich resources, but the rich resources mean nothing if we cannot manage them.” — JP
