Brawls among two groups of residents at Lemukih customary
village in Sawan district, Buleleng regency, Bali, on Friday led to a fire
which gutted dozens of houses.
Several people were reported to have been injured in the
brawls which involved representatives of the customary village and those from the
owners of a certified plot of land.
At least 16 houses have been damaged after the clash, which
first erupted on Oct. 5, 2010, was marked with closure of the roads leading to
the village.
Police officers have been deployed to the incident site to
maintain security there, the state-run Antara news agency reported.
