The House of Representatives can only pass seven out of 70 from its 2010 priority bills into laws as of October 2010, a plenary reveals.
"The seven bills that have been endorsed into laws are the 2009 state budget report bill, the money laundering bill, the cultural landmark bill, the scouts bill, the protocol bill, the horticulture bill, and the 2011 state budget bill," the House speaker, Marzuki Alie from the Democratic Party, said in his written statement during the plenary in Jakarta on Tuesday.
The cultural landmark bill, the scouts bill, the protocol bill, the horticulture bill and the 2011 state budget bill was endorsed during the plenary.
Marzuki added that the House was also deliberating nine other priority bills. "For example, the currency bill, and the housing bill," he said.
Marzuki also hoped that the government could submit more bills to be deliberated into laws.
"Those bills are the bill on Jogjakarta's specialty status, the village bill, the anti-corruption bill, and the government administration bill," he said.
