Inundation jeopardize commuter traffic in Tangerang

A- A A+

Traffic going through Bumi Serpong Damai (BSD) Turnpike heading for BSD satellite city in South Tangerang, Banten, was redirected after water up to 50 centimeter deep inundate the road near the Kilometer 8 marker.

Jakarta Police Traffic Management Center reported that the traffic was redirected to Veteran Turnpike.

There was no official report on what caused the inundation.

The same problem occurred on Monday when thousands of commuters were stuck for hours in Jakarta’s gridlocked streets as heavy rain caused  floods, paralyzing road traffic.
