President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono will go back to Vietnam again to attend the 17th ASEAN summit through Minangkabau airport in Padang, West Sumatra, on Friday.

The President was scheduled to take off aboard a special presidential aircraft at 10 a.m. in a travel which would take three hours to Hanoi.

Teuku Faizasyah, a special Presidential staff in foreign affairs, disclosed that in Hanoi the President would attend a ceremony for the handover of ASEAN chairmanship from Vietnam to Indonesia, according to Antara.

Yudhoyono cut short his visit to the summit and went back to Indonesia on Wednesday to directly monitor mitigation activities on the aftermath of tsunami disaster which hit Mentawai Islands, West Sumatra several days ago.
