Traffic congestion was
seen at Simaputang turnpike in South Jakarta as US President Barack Obama was heading
to the University of Indonesia in Depok, West Java, to conduct a public
lecture.
Cars at the
turnpike were brought to a standstill as the Kampung Rambutan and Pasar Rebo
toll gates were closed for 45 minutes, tempointeraktif.com
reported Wednesday.
Traffic eased near
the Taman Mini Indonesia Indah toll gate, which remained open.
Police also temporarily
closed a 3-kilometer section of Jl. Margonda in Depok.
