JP/Arief Suhardiman JAKARTA: While dads around the world struggle to give their teenage daughters fatherly advice on boys, singer-songwriter Anang chose to do so the way he knows best: through a song.
“Every parent that has a teenage daughter is going to be worried, given that kids at that age still have a lot to learn about love. That’s why I wrote the song Berteman Saja [Just be friends] so she [his own daughter] remembers,” he said Thursday as quoted by detikhot.com.
Titania Aurelia or Aurelle, 12, blushed when asked about her boyfriend. She said they had only been in a steady relationship with him for a month.
Anang said he really wanted to meet Aurelle’s boyfriend. Knowing him would be good and appease his worries, he went on. Anang added he didn’t mind Aurelle having a boyfriend.
“She can have a relationship, but not an adult [kind of relationship], because she’s still young. They can just be friends,” he said.
Anang is grooming Aurelle, his daughter with former wife pop-diva Krisdayanti, to be a successful singer. He plans to release Aurelle’s debut album this year. — JP
