team romp third gold at
Asiad

Indonesia's dragon boat team prove that their victory is no fluke after clinching their third gold in the finals of the men's 250-meter event at the Asian Games in Guangzhou, China, on Saturday.

The red-and-white team clocked in at 46.681 seconds. Trailing second and third were Myanmar with 49.401 seconds and host China with 49.467 seconds.

The 22-member team won their first gold in 1,000-meter straight race on Thursday and saw another gold rolling into their bag on Friday by winning the 500-meter straight race.

Later on Saturday, the women's team is scheduled to play the finals.

The women's team have claimed a second silver.

The Office of the State Minister for Youth and Sports Affairs has said earlier that it would award each member of the men’s dragon boat team Rp 400 million (US$45,000) for winning the gold medal.

Silver medalist will get Rp 200 million and bronze medalists Rp 50 million.
