State airline PT Garuda Indonesia’s operations had returned to normal Wedneday, when all of its 103 flights ran on schedule, company spokesman Pudjobroto says.
”On Wednesday our last flights were to Tokyo and Shanghai. The aircraft departured at 11:40 p.m and 11.55 p.m., respectively,” Pudjobroto said Thursday.
He said Garuda had improved its operations following a three-day nightmare that saw the airline cancel or delay scores of flights due to a computer glitch in its new IT system.
On Wednesday, the Transportation Ministry said Garuda must improve its service before Nov. 26 or have its allocated flight quota slashed as punishment.
Garuda operates 980 flights a week.
