National flag carrier Garuda Indonesia says it manages to solve
its technical glitch and ensure its flights gradually back to normal targeting no
more cancellation in domestic and international routes.
"In the last three days, our fleet has run as scheduled," Vice
President of Garuda's Corporate Communication, Pujobroto, said Saturday in Surabaya, East Java as
quoted by Kompas.com.
Pujobroto said that his company made 245 flights on Wednesday, 261 flights on
Thursday respectively.
"On Friday, we have completely normal flights,"
Pujobroto said, adding that there were 281 flights on that day with 112 of them
departed from the Soekarno-Hatta
International Airport.
He also said that the security team and internal audit of
Garuda with independent information and technology experts continued their
investigation on problems in its new IT system, which forced Garuda to delay and cancel
many flights since Sunday.
"We are optimistic that we could publish the result of the investigation
in the next few days," he said.
