Incentives for hybrid and electric car users

The city administration will give incentives to hybrid and electric car users in order to encourage the use of energy efficient cars, an official says.

“We will give incentives to people who buy hybrid and electric cars so that consumers will buy those cars,” Governor Fauzi Bowo said Thursday, as quoted by kompas.com.

Fauzi said the incentives aimed to encourage people to drive energy efficient cars.

The administration will create a tax policy for hybrid and electric cars as soon as possible, he said.
