Indonesia forging new diplomatic relations with 21 countries - but not Israel
and Taiwan, says the nation’s top diplomat.
"We will not open diplomatic relations with Israel until they comply with
all available United Nations resolutions," Foreign Affairs Minister Marty
Natalegawa said.
Indonesia continued to support Palestinian independence "side by
side" with Israel, he said.
Marty said Indonesia would not open relations with Taiwan due to the “One China”
policy it previously agreed to with Beijing. (gzl)
