10 former police chiefs to testify in Susno trial

Ten former West Java district police chiefs will
testify in the graft trial of former National Police chief detective Comr. Gen.
Susno Duadji at the South Jakarta District Court today.
The hearing was rescheduled for today after the
10 witnesses failed to show up last week.
Muhammad Yusuf, the head of the South Jakarta
District Court, said the witnesses are Adj. Sr. Comr. Adityawarman
(former Sukabumi district police chief), Adj. Sr. Comr. Aries Syarif Hidayat (Tasikmalaya), Adj. Comr. Erwin Faisal (Sumedang), Adj. Sr. Comr. Edi Mustofa (Cirebon), Adj. Sr. Comr. Syamsudin Djanieb (Indramayu), Adj. Sr. Comr. Tomex Kurniawan (Bogor),
Adj. Sr. Comr. Sugiono (Subang), Adj. Sr. Comr. Guntur Gafar (Kabupaten
Sukabumi), Adj. Sr. Comr. Eko Budi Sampurno
(Cimahi), dan Adj. Sr. Comr. Bambang Kristiono (Karawang).
Susno was charged with embezzling
Rp 8.3 billion (US$930,000) from a Rp 27.7 billion police security fund
allocated for the governor’s election when he was West Java Police chief in
2008.
