Banten ranks 15, top corrupt regions

Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) says corruption is still rampant in Banten Province, placing the 10-year-old province in 15th place among the most corrupt regions.
“Banten ranked 15 among the most corrupt provinces across the country,” ICW coordinator Ade Irawan said in a seminar being held in conjunction with World Anti-Corruption Day in Tigaraksa, Tangerang, on Thursday.
Ade said corrupt practices could even be found with authorities failing to take action to combat such practices.
The seminar also features Ray Rangkuti, director of NGO Lingkar Madani, as another panelist.
