An aircraft tow collided lightly with a Garuda Indonesia aircraft serving flight number GA128 heading to Pangkal Pinang on Thursday at 10:15 a.m. at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

No injuries were reported in the accident, but the aircraft, which had been preparing to take off, was grounded pending inspection.

The tow car was awaiting investigation by the National Committee for Transportation Safety.

“After the plane's door was closed, the tow van was about to pull the plane backward when it brushed against the plane's body,” airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II secretary Hari Cahyono said.

Hari said the 111 passengers on the flight were scheduled to be moved to a different aircraft.
