Ninety-four TransJakarta buses will begin plying the Pinang Ranti – Pluit and Cililitan – Tanjung Priok routes by the end of December, an official says.

“The physical assembly of the 94 TransJakarta buses for Corridor IX and Corridor X is already complete. The buses are now in Balaraja, Tangerang and Sentul,” Jakarta Transportation Agency head Udar Pristono said Thursday.

Corridor IX runs from Pinang Ranti in East Jakarta to Pluit in North Jakarta. Corridor X runs from Cililitan in South Jakarta to Tanjung Priok in North Jakarta.

Udar said the buses, supplied by PT Korindo and PT Asian Auto International, fulfilled all the administrative requirements.

“The 94 buses are ready to hit the road. The bus stops and lanes are also being repaired,” he said, as reported by beritajakarta.com.

The TransJakarta Busway currently operates 426 buses that ply eight corridors.
