President kicks off East, Central Java tour

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono left on a three-day working visit to East Java and Central Java on Monday afternoon.
The plane carrying the President left Halim Perdanakusumah Airport in East Jakarta at 3.30 pm, and was expected to land at Juanda International Airport in Surabaya an hour later.
The President is scheduled to give a lecture Tuesday titled “Accelerating Technological Innovation to Support the National Economy” at 10 November Institute of Technology, Surabaya, and talk with Indonesian migrant workers afterward.
He will head to Semarang on Wednesday, where he is scheduled to attend the inauguration of 2010 National Police officials at the Police Academy in the Central Java capital.
The President is accompanied by, among others, State Secretary Sudi Silalahi, State Minister for Youth and Sports Affairs Andi Mallarangeng, Information and Communications Minister Tifatul Sembiring, and Cabinet Secretary Dipo Alam.
