AKARTA: Former United States vice president Al Gore is planning to attend the Business for Environment Forest Dialog in Jakarta on Jan. 9, 2011.
According to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), the Nobel Prize winner will deliver a keynote address, sharing his passion for the role of the country’s forests in sustainable growth.
The WWF said in a press release that the dialog would review and discuss the country’s efforts in reducing carbon emissions and fighting climate change.
The event is meant to celebrate and support the United Nation’s International Year of Forests 2011. — JP
