Maudy reluctant to play in soap operas

JP/Adi Wahono JAKARTA: Actress Maudy Koesnadi, who rose to fame after starring in a TV family drama Si Doel Anak Sekolahan (Doel gets an Education) in the mid-1990s, still refuses to get involved in any soap opera projects at the moment, citing the unsocial working hours of that particular industry.

“I miss acting very much, but I don’t to go back to soap operas because of the tight schedules and long working hours,” Maudy told detikhot.com on Monday at a launching ceremony of her latest movie 3 Hati 2 Dunia 1 Cinta (Three Hearts 2 Worlds 1 Love).

Maudy produced the movie, which won a Citra Award for the best movie at the 2010 Indonesia Film Festival. After producing her first successful movie, the 35-year-old actress said she was going to focus on her new profession as a film producer. — JP
