SBY and Sultan have met on Yogya’s status: Andi

Democratic Party politician Andi Malarangeng says President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Yogyakarta’s governor Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X have already met to discuss the draft bill on Yogyakarta’s special status. Andi said yesterday in Yogyakarta that as the President’s representative, he had also met the sultan, as quoted by tempointeraktif.com. As leaders it was normal for Yudhoyono and the sultan to frequently communicate and meet, he said. Andi added that the Democratic Party would discuss the points it had on the draft, but refused to elaborate those points. He also blamed the media for the dispute over the special status of Yogyakarta.
