New commissioners yet to make plans

The incoming Judicial Commission team has yet to formulate any work plan, a newly installed commissioner says.

New commissioner Eman Suparman said the new commission members would discuss the workload once they take up office next Monday.

"I have not received orientation on the cases that the Judicial Commission is dealing with," he added.

The commissioners would decide which cases to prioritize after there had been orientation on the cases, he said.

However, he added that the incoming commissioners had not set a deadline for studying the cases nor had they decided upon who should take the position as chief.

"The seven of us have not spoke about it since we were chosen by Commission III lawmakers on Dec. 2," he added.

On Monday, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono installed seven new commissioners at the Presidential Palace. The commissioners are Erman, Abbas Said, Iman Anshari Saleh, Taufiqurrohman, Suparman Marzuki, Jaja Ahmad Jayus and Ibrahim. (gzl)
