President to inaugurate new KPK chief on Monday

Busyro Muqoddas is expected to be inaugurated as Corruption Eradication Commission chief on Monday afternoon.

The inauguration, which will be presided over by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, comes almost a month after Busyro was elected to the post by the House of Representatives.

The delay led some critics to question the government’s commitment to fighting corruption.

Busyro will replace Antasari Azhar, who is now in prison for murder.

President Yudhoyono will also inaugurate seven Judicial Commission members: Erman Supaman, Abbas Said, Iman Anshori Saleh, Taufiqurrohman, Suparman Marzuki, Jaja Ahmad Jayus and Ibrahim.
