JAKARTA: Several months after its establishment, the National Anti-terror Agency (BNPT) moved to new offices in Central Jakarta on Monday.
BNPT chief Comr. Gen. (ret.) Ansyaad Mbai said the agency would use the two-story house on Jl. Imam Bonjol, Menteng, in Central Jakarta as offices until it has its own building. “We hope the office will make our directors and staff feel comfortable while working for the [BNPT],” Ansyaad said.
The agency, which was established in July this year, had to borrow space for offices from the Coordinating Political, Legal and Security Affairs Minister’s Office.
Ansyaad said the BNPT is expected to move to offices in Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, that are now under construction in 2012. — JP
