S. Tangerang budgets Rp 12.5b for election re-run

The South Tangerang Election
Commission has said it will allocate Rp 12.5 billion (US$1.4 million) to hold
the re-run of the mayoral election.
Commission head Iman Perwira Bachsan said all of the money would be
channeled from the money left over from the previous poll, including an
untapped run-off fund.
The first election's results
were annulled by the Constitutional Court over evidence of vote-rigging.
“We are still using the balance
from the first election budget, that means there is no additional budget,” Iman
said as reported by Tempointeraktif.com.
The re-run is scheduled for Feb. 27, next year.
