JAKARTA: Manpower and Transmigration Minister Muhaimin Iskandar wants three months to fix the problems revolving around sending Indonesian workers oversees.
“We will apply extra-tight inspections in sending our workers. Our new procedures stipulate that [local] Manpower Agency chiefs must check sponsors, who recruit [workers],” Muhaimin said in his office on Monday, as quoted by Antara news agency.
The ministry also vowed to monitor private employment recruitment agencies by asking administration officials to record their identities. — JP
